Book Reviews

Heart Wide Open, by Shellie Rushing Tomlinson

Shellie has engaged me in this book with her transparent, yet inviting, method of writing. Her insights show we are not alone in our constant quest for a faith that perseveres. We all have ups and downs, times when we are closer or farther away from God. Times when our faith waivers and our hope grows dim. The author truly invites you to take a deep look at your faith, and knowledge for how to grow in that faith and keep it at the forefront of your journey.

Shellie includes wit, charm, and humor to keep you wanting to turn the pages (to the extent of sacrificing sleep to go just...one...more...page!). She helps us to really think about things such as: Do I really KNOW God? Do I really LOVE God? Am I allowing God to really KNOW and LOVE me? I go to church, I read my Bible-- but do I have a religion in this world, or a genuine relationship with my Creator? If you want inspiration, encouragement, and a faith that is passionate and real...this book is for you!
